🌟 About Preservation Hall Jazz Band
Founded in the early 1960s by tuba player Allan Jaffe, the PHJB takes its name from the historic Preservation Hall venue located in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The hall was established as a sanctuary for traditional New Orleans jazz at a time when the genre was losing prominence. Under the leadership of Jaffe and his wife Sandra, the band began touring in 1963, bringing the sounds of New Orleans to audiences worldwide. Today, their son Ben Jaffe serves as the band's creative director, continuing the family's musical mission. WikipediaPreservation Hall
