Slash, born Saul Hudson, is a British-American guitar legend known for his soulful solos, bluesy riffs, and iconic top hat. As the lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, and later with Velvet Revolver and Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, Slash has become one of the most recognizable and influential figures in rock music.

Born July 23, 1965, in London, England, Slash was raised in Los Angeles and surrounded by creativity—his mother designed costumes for stars like David Bowie, while his father created album covers for legends like Joni Mitchell. He picked up the guitar at 15 and quickly rose through the L.A. rock scene.
He joined Guns N’ Roses in 1985, contributing to the historic Appetite for Destruction album in 1987. After leaving in 1996, he formed Slash’s Snakepit and co-founded Velvet Revolver, before launching a successful solo career. In 2016, he reunited with Guns N’ Roses for the record-breaking Not in This Lifetime... Tour.
